The American Nuclear Society (ANS) is a not-for-profit, international, scientific and educational organization, established in 1954 to unify the professional activities within the diverse fields of nuclear science and technology. The core purpose of ANS is to promote the awareness and understanding of the application of nuclear science and technology, and its vision is to be the recognized credible advocate for advancing and promoting nuclear science and technology. The ANS has approximately 11,000 members. The San Diego Section of the American Nuclear Society is the local branch of the ANS for Southern California. If you have interest in nuclear science and technology, we invite you to become a member. Dues are only $10 per year or $5 per year for students. We hold periodic (~monthly) dinner meetings with a speaker on a topic of interest. In addition, we conduct student education and public information and outreach activities. If you would like to be an active member of the San Diego Section, please download the Membership Form in the sidebar.
