Our next San Diego Section ANS dinner meeting will be on Wednesday 23 January.
Our speaker will be Ken Schultz, the SDS-ANS Chair, talking about
Nuclear Production of Synthetic Hydrocarbon Fuels.
Forty percent of US energy use is oil in the form of liquid hydrocarbon
transportation fuels. Burning these fuels produces about one-third of the
CO2 we currently release. Oil is in increasingly short supply and CO2
has become a serious climate change issue. Come learn how nuclear
production of synthetic hydrocarbon fuels can address both these issues.
We will be at our usual venue:
The Hungry Hunter Steakhouse
1221 Vista Way (intersection of I-5 and Highway 78)
Oceanside, CA 92054-6452 (760) 433-2633
The restaurant offers 4 choices for dinner: beef - salmon - chicken - vegetarian
Please indicate your choice in your RSVP
Please RSVP by Monday, January 21, 2013.
