ITER: The next step in Magnetic Fusion
and General Atomics' role


  Our speaker will John Smith, project manager for the design and fabrication
  of the large superconducting central solenoid magnet for the ITER
  international magnetic fusion experiment under construction in France.  

  John will give us an update on the ITER project and will describe the work 
  being done on that project here in San Diego, including design and 
  fabrication of the superconducting central solenoid magnet that will drive 
  the plasma current in ITER.
